FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS ORDER MAY RESULT IN IMPOSITION OF SANCTIONS** The pretrial conference set in this matter is for the trial period commencing on October 9, 2023, and continuing through October 20, 2023. Counsel may appear at the pretrial conference via Webex video using the access information set forth in this Order. See Fla. R. Gen. Prac. & Jud. Admin. 2.530(b). No purely telephonic appearance will be permitted. Unless counsel and unrepresented parties are excused by court order, the Court will conduct the pretrial conference as scheduled, and all requirements and deadlines in the Uniform Trial Order, any Case Management Order, or any other Order containing pretrial deadlines and requirements must be fully satisfied. Lead Trial Counsel must attend both the pretrial conference and the meeting of attorneys and pro se parties absent a court order allowing another person to attend. Page 1 of 4 Motions to continue or to extend pretrial deadlines will not be heard at the pretrial conference. Any such motions must be set for short matters before the pretrial conference. Motions to continue must be accompanied by a signed client consent and must specifically state good cause for the continuance. Agreement of the parties alone will not support a continuance. At least three (3) days before the pretrial conference, the parties must complete each of the following three tasks: (a) The parties must file and email to 22osceola@ninthcircuit.org a certification that the required meeting of attorneys and pro se parties has been completed either in person or by video conference. The certification must include: (i) the names of Lead Trial Counsel and any pro se parties who attended the meeting, (ii) the location or platform used for the meeting, (iii) the date and time at which the meeting occurred, and (iv) a certification signed by all Lead Trial Counsel and any pro se parties that every item referenced in paragraph 7(c) of the Uniform Trial Order was addressed and completed at or immediately following the meeting. Certifying any other type of meeting does not comport with the Uniform Trial Order or the requirements of this Order. (b) The parties must file and email to 22osceola@ninthcircuit.org the joint pretrial statement containing all information required by the Uniform Trial Order. The pretrial statement must be a joint filing with any disputed items identified within a single joint filing. (c) The parties must email to 22osceola@ninthcircuit.org a completed Pre-Trial Checklist in the form available on the Division 22 website.
