Defendant, CITIZENS PROPERTY INSURANCE CORPORATION, by and through
undersigned counsel and pursuant to Fla. R. Civ. P. § 1.090(b), respectfully requests this Court to
enter an order granting an extension of time to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint, and in support
thereof, states as follows:
1. Defendant was served with Plaintiff's Complaint on September 23, 2014.
2. A response to Plaintiffs Complaint is currently due on October 13, 2014.
3. Additional time is needed to confer with Defendant regarding the specific
allegations in said Complaint.
4. This Motion is not meant to harass or prejudice Plaintiff in any way, nor is it filed
for the purpose of undue hindrance or delay
5. Florida Rules of Civil Procedure 1.090(b) allows this Court to extend the time
within which to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint.
WHEREFORE, Defendant requests that this Honorable Court enter an order granting
Defendant an extension of time to respond to Plaintiff's Complaint.
