Gross on 7/28/22 at 9:00 am in Department 205 at Beverly Hills Courthouse. The MSC will be conducted via a video conference platform enabled by LA Court Connect. Do not appear in court for the MSC. For information on registering and using LA Court Connect please go to lacourt.org. Alternatively, the parties may agree to use Zoom. If the parties choose to use Zoom one of them must send appropriate invites to all participants, must have breakout rooms enabled and must be able to designate the settlement judge a host or co-host. A Stipulation to Policies and Procedures for Judicial Mandatory Settlement Conference on form LASC CIV 287 NEW 05/21, available on the court’s website, is to be signed by all participants, including attorneys, parties and adjusters, and electronically filed with the court at least 5 court days prior to the scheduled MSC. Failure to comply will preclude participation in the MSC. Participation in the MSC is limited to participants authorized by the court. The MSC and all communications that occur during the MSC are confidential. The parties and authorized participants shall take all necessary precautions to maintain the confidential nature of the MSC. Audio and video recording of any portion of the MSC is strictly prohibited. Audio or video recording without permission is against the law. If, for any reason, a participant hears a communication that is not intended to be heard by the participant, the participant must immediately advise the MSC Judge. The following persons with settlement authority are ordered to appear at the virtual MSC: (1) the parties named in the dispute; (2) an authorized representative of a corporation or other business entity or government entity which is a party; and (3) an authorized representative of an insurance company which has coverage or has coverage at issue.
