M'Greene ERM: None Courtroom Assistant: None Deputy Sheriff: None APPEARANCES: For Plaintiff(s): No Appearances For Defendant(s): No Appearances NATURE OF PROCEEDINGS: Court Order Minute Order re Initial Case Management Conference in Social Media Coordinated Cases, JCCP 5255 and JCCP 5256 By this order, the Court determines all cases within JCCP 5255 and 5256 to be Complex according to Rule 3.400 of the California Rules of Court. Pursuant to Government Code section 70616 subdivisions (a) and (b), each party shall pay a fee of $1,000.00 to the Los Angeles Superior Court within 10 calendar days of this date. By this order, the Court stays JCCP 5255 and 5256 and all included actions, except for service of the Summons and Complaint and filing of a Notice of Appearance by a Defendant. The stay continues at least until the Initial Status Conference. The court understands that JCCP 5255 and 5256 have been consolidated. Therefore, this court declares JCCP 5256 closed and no further filing or litigation activity shall take place with respect to JCCP 5256 except upon further order of this Court. All cases initially within JCCP 5256 are coordinated within JCCP 5255. An Initial Status Conference is scheduled for February 17, 2023 at 1:45 pm in Department 12 at the Spring Street Courthouse. The Joint Initial Status Conference Report required by this order is to be filed no later than February 14, 2023. Counsel for all parties are ordered to meet and confer in person or by remote video appearance no later than 15 days before the Initial Status Conference and discuss the matters required to be included in the Joint Initial Status Conference Report described below. To the extent the parties are unable to agree on the matters to be addressed in the Joint Initial Status Conference Report, the positions of each party or of various parties shall be set forth separately in the Joint Statement.
