This employment action arises from the allegedly wrongful termination of Plaintiff Rubin Bryant (“Plaintiff”) by Defendants DeVry University, Inc. (“DeVry”), Asif Shaw (“Shaw”) and Karyn Lee (“Lee” and collectively the “Defendants”), whereby on or about January 06, 2017, Plaintiff was terminated from his position after 12 years as a campus recruiter, ostensibly for alleged time-card fraud but Plaintiff alleges it was really in retaliation for speaking out to management about lawsuits ongoing against DeVry and false and misleading statements being given to prospective students.
