I. Background Facts
On July 13, 2018, plaintiff Brigit Wilcox (“plaintiff”) filed a complaint against defendants Suresh S. Iyengar, an individual doing business as Suresh S. Iyengar, DDS (“defendant”) and DOES 1 through 10 alleging causes of action for (1) professional negligence and (2) medical battery.
The complaint alleges in relevant part that on July 15, 2017, plaintiff was administered unauthorized dental services by defendant, including multiple root canals, that caused plaintiff to suffer damages. (Complaint, ¶ 3.) P
