[TENTATIVE] ORDER RE: DEFENDANT ZAMIN CHAN’S MOTIONS TO COMPEL RESPONSES AND TO DEEM ADMITTED REQUESTS FOR ADMISSIONS; MOTION GRANTED
On January 8, 2016, Plaintiff Jamshid Hatami (“Plaintiff”) filed this action against Defendants Catherine Sackett and Zamin Chan (“Defendant”) (collectively, “Defendants”) for injuries and property damage sustained in a July 29, 2014 automobile accident.
February 20, 2018, Defendant served Form Interrogatories, Set Two and Requests for Admissions on Plaintiff. On March 23, 2017, Defendant served Supplemental Interrogatories, Set One and Supplemental Requests for Production of Documents, Set One on Plaintiff. (Declaration of Alan P. Trafton, ¶ 3.) Plaintiff served no responses and did not respond to defense counsel’s meet and confer letters. (Trafton Decl., ¶¶ 5, 6.) Defendant moves for an order deeming admitted requests for admissions, compelling Plaintiff’s responses to discovery, and imposing monetary sanctions.
