MOTION FOR CHANGE OF VENUE

Matter on calendar for Friday, April 3, 2015, Line 12, DEFENDANTs CHRISTOPHER LEICHUS, MARLENE LEICHUS' MOTION FOR CHANGE OF VENUE.

The Court GRANTS the motion to transfer venue. Under the multiple-cause principle, Defendants are entitled to transfer the entire action to their place of residency, Placer County, because they are entitled to a change of venue for the fraud cause of action. See Jhirmack Enterprises, Inc. v. Superior Court (1979) 96 Cal.App.3d 715, 720-721. Tort-based actions for personal injury or death are triable either in the county where defendant resides or in the county where the injury occurred. But tort-based actions for injury to reputation, or even for mental or emotional distress, such as severe humiliation, anguish, emotional distress and trauma, are triable only at a defendant's residence. (Carruth v. Superior Court (1978) 80 Cal.App.3d 215, 219-220; Cubic Corp. v. Superior Court (1986) 186 Cal.App.3d 622, 625.) Plaintiff
