Defendant/Plaintiff SEB West Coast LLC (“SEB”) filed a Notice of Related Case on May 4, 2016 in case 15 U 12842 and on August 31, 2016 in case BC 605 089, alleging that the unlimited jurisdiction civil law case and limited jurisdiction unlawful detainer cases are related because they involve the same parties and same claims, arise from the same transactions requiring resolution of the same factual and legal issues, involve claims against the same property, and are likely to require substantial duplication of judicial resources if heard by different judges.
