Judge Lori N. Schein - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Lori N. Schein is a judge for the Boone County Circuit Court in Indiana. She was elected to the bench in 2018.

Prior to her election, Schein was deputy general counsel at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Before that, she worked for several years as a deputy prosecutor and chief deputy prosecutor with the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office and was a juvenile deputy prosecutor with the Boone County Circuit Court.

Schein received a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College in 1994. She went on to complete a J.D. at Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2003.

Schein was admitted to practice in Indiana (2003) and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana (2003).

She is a past secretary of the Boone County Republican Party.

Schein relocated with her family to Boone County from Indianapolis in 2001. She and her husband, Rob, have four children, a golden retriever, two cats, and a fish. Schein attends Zionsville Presbyterian Church.
