The Hon. Jonathan L. Rosenbloom is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2018 by former governor Jerry Brown. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Leland H. Tipton (Ret.).
He is a registered Democrat.
Judge Rosenbloom received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to earn his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1991.
Rosenbloom worked as an associate for the law firms of Berman, Blanchard, Mausner, and Kindem in 1989, Maiden, Rosenbloom, Wintroub, Fridkis, and Resser in 1990, and for Anker, Hymes, and Schreiber in 1992. He then became a partner at Rosenbloom and Rosenbloom LLP in 1997 and practiced there until entering into solo practice in 2009. He remained in that capacity until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2018. During his time in private practice, Rosenbloom litigated business, corporate, estate planning and probate matters.
Rosenbloom has served as a speaker for the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He also served as the former chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Section.
He was selected as a Super Lawyer in 2018-2019.
