Biography

Hon. Cynthia D. Pickering is an associate district judge for the Okmulgee County District Court (District 24) in Oklahoma. She was elected to the seat on November 4, 2014.

In that position, Pickering has presided over adoptions, guardianships, juvenile delinquents, juvenile deprived, probates, the drug court, the Anna McBride Mental Health Court, and the family drug treatment court.

Pickering began her judicial career as a special judge in Okmulgee County in 2007.

She completed a J.D. at the University of Tulsa College of Law (1993) and an M.S. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Tulsa (1996). While a law student, Pickering served on the Law School Energy Journal and was active with the Women’s Law Caucus.
