Judge Barry L. Hafar - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Barry L. Hafar is a special judge for the Oklahoma County District Court (District 7) in Oklahoma.

Prior to joining the bench, Hafar managed his own private solo practice, the Law Office of Barry L. Hafar (1998 to 2006). His areas of practice included family law with an emphasis on a Guardian ad Litem practice.

He received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1990. Hafar went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1993.

He was admitted to practice in Oklahoma (1993) and the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

His memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association (Board of Directors), and the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court (master).

Hafar was a past president of the Downtown Exchange Club of Oklahoma City.
