Filing # 120080005 E-Filed 01/22/2021 01:31:59 PM IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE SEVENTEENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA CITIZENS PROPERTY INSURANCE APPEAL: CACE21-000004 (AP) CORPORATION, CASE NO.: COWE20-016081 (82) Appeliant, v. NORVAL WATSON, Appellee. / El PPEAL TO THE ICT COURT OF APPEAL THIS CAUSE came before the Court on its own motion to transfer the instant appeal to the Fourth District Court of Appeal. Pursuant to amended section 26.012(1), Florida Statutes, effective January 1, 2021, the Florida circuit courts no longer have jurisdiction over appellate court reviews of certain county court orders or judgments. After review of the maintenance records, and noting that the appeal was filed on January 4, 2021, it is apparent that this Court lacks jurisdiction in which to rule on this appeal and that it should have been filed in the district court. Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that the Clerk of Court is DIRECTED to TRANSFER this cause to the Fourth District Court of Appeal and close this case. See Fla. R. App. P. 9.040(b)(1) (“If a proceeding is commenced in an inappropriate court, that court shall transfer the cause to an appropriate court.”). DONE AND ORDERED in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida, January See 2021. /s/ Jack Tuter JACK TUTER CHIEF JUDGE cc: Scot E. Samis, Esq., Attorney for Appelfant. L.
