Reply. Counsel's application for pro hac vice admission ofVahe Khojayan, Esq. to appear and participate in this action on plaintifls behalfis denied with leave to renew upon the submission of proper papers. The submissions demonstrate that Vahe Khojayan is an attomey in good standing and licensed to practice law in the State of Califomia. He further states that tlere are "no pending disciplinary proceedings against me in any State or Federal Court," but he does not state in his affidavit if he is licensed to practice law in any other states or in the federal court system. Ifhe is so admitted in other jurisdictions, certificates ofgood standing are required from each of those jurisdictions. Mr. Khojayan states that he is familiar with "Disciplinary Rules of the Code of Professional Responsibility." Since 2009, the rules goveming attorney conduct for New York are known as the Rules ofProfessional Conduct, having replaced the "Disciplinary Rules." Accordingly, counsel who seeks pro hac vice admission should be familiar with the Rules of Professional Conduct and attest that he will comply therewith. Importantly, the affidavit in suppo( of this application does not contain any statement that he subjects himself to the jurisdiction of this Court with respect to any acts occurring during the course of his participation in this matter. 1 of 2 FILED: SUFFOLK COUNTY CLERK 04/19/2023 02:41 PM INDEX NO. 623377/2021 NYSCEF DOC.
