Berman, Esq. Dirk A. Galbraith, Esq. Hancock Estabrook, LLP Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP Re: Thomas Amici v. Edward A. Mazza Esq. et al Tompkins County Index No: EF2022-0516 Counselors: I have been assigned to conduct mediation/settlement negotiations in the above-referenced matter pursuant to the Presumptive Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiative of former Chief Judge Janet DiFiore and the Order of Hon. Mark G. Masler dated April 13, 2023. I would like to begin with a brief conference with the attorneys on May 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. via Microsoft Teams. The Teams link will be e-mailed to you. If you become unavailable on that date/time, please provide some alternative options. During our conference, I will introduce myself and identify the parties who will participate in the session as well as gather contact information. Further, we will discuss whether your case is appropriate for ADR and determine whether there are any nonlegal issues to be resolved before moving forward. If the case is appropriate, we will schedule a date for mediation/settlement negotiations. The next session will also be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please note that all parties/persons with full settlement authority must be present during the mediation. To that end, please have your availability and your client’s/representative’s availability with you for this initial conference. My role is to act as a neutral and my hope is to assist everyone in reaching a solution to your dispute. Everything said during the mediation/settlement conference will be confidential. If our collective efforts do not result in a settlement, then your case will revert to the referring Judge for further scheduling. Thank you. I look forward to working with you. ry truly yor parI.
