ORDER T0 SHOW CAUSE
On this day, the Court considered Defendant Jason R. Hanson’s Verified Fifth Motion for
Contempt and for Order to Show Cause (“Motion”), seeking that Plaintiff David Reiss be held in
contempt of this Court in the above-styled and numbered cause, for Reiss’ willful and intentional
violations of the Court’s December 21, 2018 Temporary Injunction (“December Injunction”),
which remains in full force and effect pursuant to the Court’s June 1 1, 2019 Temporary Injunction,
as re—affirmed in Show Cause Orders issued by the Court on July 1 2019, July 30, 2019, and
September 3, 2019, and in this Court’s Order on October 30, 2020, denying Plaintiff‘s motion to
dissolve the December Injunction.
The purpose of this Order to Show Cause is to determine whether Reiss should be held in
contempt for violating the December Injunction, which expressly restrains Reiss
from (1)
accessing funds in Spy Games’ operating account at Iberiabank, and (2) interfering with Hanson’s
“sole right and responsibility” for paying Spy Games’ bills in the ordinary course of business,
specifically including income taxes.
Defendant’s Motion seeks to have Reiss held in and punished for contempt of this Court
for his willful and intentional violations of the December Injunction. Defendant’s Motion seeks
to have Reiss remanded into custody until such time as Reiss complies with the December
Injunction by returning $74,000 to Spy Games’ operating account at lberiabank, and purges his
contempt by paying a $500 fine per day of violation.
Hanson alleges, and Reiss is hereby notified, that he must appear for and respond to
Hanson’s allegations that Reiss has interfered with Hanson’s sole right and responsibility for
paying Spy Games’ bills in the ordinary course of business by orchestrating and participating in
the withdrawal of $74,000 from Spy Games’ operating account on or about October 12, 2021.
IT IS THEREFORE, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED that Plaintiff David
Reiss appear and respond to Defendant’s Motion, in the 191Sl Judicial District Court, Dallas
”WW 17, 29mg namLM,
2071 at
County, Texas, 600 Commerce Street, Dallas, Texas 75202, on October— ,
