                                  JOINT CASE MANAGEMENT STATEMENT
 1         Plaintiffs Ahdrea Spears and- Tomas Arana ("Plaintiffs") and Defendant Health Net of
 2 Califomia, Inc. ("Defendant") (collectively "the Parties") now submit this case management
 3 statement to the Court in advance of the May 13, 2022 Case Management Conference.
4
 5 1.      STATUS OF SETTLEMENT
 6         The Parties participated in a private mediation with mediator Tripper Ortman on June 8,2021.
 7 Through continued negotiations with the mediator, the Parties were able to reach a settlement,
 8 reflected in the execution of a long-form agreement which was provided with the Motion for
 9 Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement.
10         On March 10, 2022, Department 54 ofthe Sacramento Superior Court granted the unopposed
11 Motion for Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement. Consistent with the Order granting the
12 motion, the class notice process is imderway. The hearing on the Motion for Final Approval of Class
13 Action Settlement is currently set for July 12, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in Department 25.

15 2.      FURTHER CASE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE
16         The Parties respectfiiUy request that the CMC is either vacated or continued to July 12, 2022
17 to take place concurrently with the hearing on the Motion for Final Approval of Class Action
18 Settlement.
