Background

Plaintiff Juanita Denise Schmittle (“Plaintiff”) filed this employment action on

September 22, 2015 against Defendant Baldwin Park Unified School District (“Defendant”). The
17
Complaint asserts causes of action for (1) discrimination; (2) retaliation; (3) failure to
18
accommodate; (4) failure to engage in good faith interactive process; and (5) failure to prevent
19
discrimination.

21 Defendant now moves to compel the deposition of Joyce Evans, LMTF (“Evans”). Evans
treated Plaintiff between 2007 and 2009 in relation to a custody dispute over Plaintiff's daughter
22
between Plaintiff and her ex-husband.
