To whom this may concern,
; DUVAL CLERK OF COURT
My name is Monasia Moore, and | would like to dispute this complaint being brought against
me in reference to the Chrysler 300. When the Chrysler 300 was purchased, | received a phone call from
Mr Marcus Paige Sr and asked to come up to (put dealership) because he was purchasing a vehicle.
Upon my arrival, Mr Paige had already chosen the Chrysler 300 and was about to close on the vehicle,
but the car salesman needed to speak with me, as the deal was presented to Marcus Paige Sr., that if he
could show some extra income in his household then they would be able to sell him the vehicle, with the
two of us being in a committed relationship and just having a newborn child, the car salesman inquired
this of me and explained that my income was only being used in addition to Mr. Paige income to
purchase the vehicle. | did agree to the use in addition to but | specifically stated that if it meant
anything other no, the car salesman assured me that it was for addition, because Mr Paige stated he had
additional income. | left the dealership, to return back to work. About a two weeks later while visiting
my home, | asked Mr Paige about when his payments would be due, he didn’t remember so | went
looking through the glovebox of the vehicle and | realized that he was not on that the agreement, and |
asked Mr Paige how was that possible and how would he allow that to go through when he knew my
two of us
situation and how | could not afford a vehicle, ultimately it caused an argument between the
removed
so we contacted the dealership to get the vehicle put solely into his name and have my name
and to honor the agreement in which the salesman sold Mr Paige the vehicle and explained to me, when
to
they would not honor the agreement we tried to return the car to (the dealership) and they refused
take the car back or to revise the contract. Several attempts were made to do a Voluntary Repossession,
and
because Mr Paige was the purchaser, | was only to be utilized as in addition to and nothing other,
no intention of
upon realizing | was sole purchaser, | attempted to return the vehicle, to no avail. | had
payments on the
purchasing a vehicle as it would’ve put me ina financial strained. Mr. Paige did make
vehicle as listed in the served documents, which should show that he assumed
responsibility for the
vehicle. Mr. Paige understood and still understands to date, | was only
helping to get him approved for
the car and that the responsibility would be solely his. | don’t believe this debt
belongs to me, for the
reasons | previously stated above and also because | never used the car
for my own personal use.
Furthermore, am in direct contact with Mr. Paige about this matter, since |
have been served with this
law suit. Mr Paige should be held responsible for this, as he was the sole individual
to purchase the
vehicle.
Evidence to show Mr Paige’s involvement or knowledge to what's was going on with the
vehicle, unbeknownst to myself, two weeks prior to the repossession, | woke up and the
car was in my
driveway; no explanation was ever given as to why the car was dropped off. In July
2020, the car was
involuntarily repossessed. There has been no paperwork nor any correspondence until
now.
| humbly ask to be relieved of this debt, at this present time, for to incur a debt
of any amount
would place my household in financial hardship. | am a single working mother, part-time student,
primary caregiver for my mother, with no government or parental assistance. My mother is a
disabled
veteran and since her discharge 2012, | have been her primary caregiver. When | am at school
or work, |
must ensure a sitter to come in the house and sit with my mother for about 3-4 hours a day to
make
sure she is fed during the day and making sure her medications stay on track. My son is in an after-
school program until about 6pm everyday which | also have to pay for someone to pick him up
for me
and take him home. Since | do not get any financial assistance, | currently make $15 an hour and that
does not support everything | need but | am trying my best. With this added debt, | will not be able to
offer that.
