Cross-Petitioner Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (“ALADS”) petitions for a writ of mandate directing Cross-Respondent County of Los Angeles (“County”) to pay explosives detail pay under Los Angeles County Code section 6.120.020(B)(5) to 26 affected employees who work as “explosive breachers.” ALADS also seeks an award of backpay for each affected employee to the date he or she was eligible for that compensation under section 6.120.020(B)(5).
