The Court and counsel confer regarding case status- including efforts to settle. The Court finds good cause is shown, and Defendants' request to continue the trial date is granted. Pursuant to the request of defendant, the Jury Trial scheduled for 01/27/2021 is advanced to this date and continued to 12/15/21 at 11:00 AM in Department 53 at Stanley Mosk Courthouse. On the Court's own motion, the Final Status Conference scheduled for 01/15/2021 is continued to 12/03/21 at 11:00 AM in Department 53 at Stanley Mosk Courthouse. All discovery cut-off and and discovery motion cut-off dates, and deadlines for the exchange of information concerning expert trial witnesses shall be based on the new trial. The parties and their counsel shall hold a meeting, conference call, or videoconference to discuss and try to settle all issues in the case no later than 5/28/21. Any agreement by parties to private mediation complies with this order. Plaintiffs' and Defendant's counsel shall meet and confer no later than 1/29/21 to determine whether the parties will stipulate to hold mediation with a private mediator and split the costs of the 50/50.
