ORDER ASSIGNING COORDINATION MOTION JUDGE
On June 12, 2023, the Chair of the Judicial Council issued an Order Assigning
Coordination Motion Judge, authorizing the presiding Judge in Alameda County to appoint a
Coordination Motion Judge. (CCP 404; CRC 3.524.)
The superior court cases in the Judicial Council Order are listed in the attached Order.
The presiding Judge in Alameda County through General Directive 2022-02 designated
Judge Brad Seligman as Supervising Judge of Complex and delegated to the Supervising Judge
of Complex the case assignment duties set forth in CRC 10.603(b)(1)(B) and 10.603(c)(1)(D).
These include the case assignment duties set forth in CCP 404 and CRC 3.524(a).
25 IT IS ORDERED that Judge Brad Seligman, Department 23, is assigned as Coordination
26 Motion Judge. The Coordination Motion Judge will consider the petition and any opposition and
response thereto, hold a hearing if appropriate, and recommend whether the actions should be
coordinated. (C.C.P. 404.4; C.R.C. 3.527.) In addition, the Coordination Motion Judge may
stay the included actions. (C.C.P. 404.5.)
The Court directs counsel for petitioner to file a copy of this order in each of the cases
identified in the attached Order and to serve a copy of this order on all parties in each of the
identified cases by personal delivery, fax or next day mail upon receipt of this order. (CRC
3.510 & 3.511.)
A hearing on the Petition will be heard on July 11, 2023 at 3 pm in Department 23 of the
Alameda Superior Court. All cases are stayed pending this hearing.

THE PRESIDING JUDGE of the Superior Court of California, County of
Alameda, is hereby authorized to assign this matter to a judge of the court pursuant to Code of
Civil Procedure section 404 and rule 3.524 of the California Rules of Court to sit as
