Alvi 34-2019-00262942-CU-OE-GDS June 27, 2023 9:00 AM Jay Robinson vs. Asomeo Environmental Restoration Industry, LLC, a California Corporation MINUTES APPEARANCES: No Appearances NATURE OF PROCEEDINGS: Motion for Class Certification - Civil Law and Motion Pursuant to the directive of the Presiding Judge and the Civil Supervising Judge, the above- referenced case is deemed complex as it presents multiple and novel legal issues the resolution of which will require exceptional judicial resources. (See Cal. R. Ct. 3-400.) This matter is assigned to Department 27 for all-purposes pursuant to California Rule of Court 3.734, such that law and motion matters, motions for consolidation, severance, bifurcation, intervention, to continue trial, as well as other motions referenced in Local Rule 1.05(B) shall be heard in the assigned all- purpose complex department. Any and all motions in this matter currently set in Department 54 will be heard in Department 27. The moving party should contact the court clerk of Department 27 to inquire about re- scheduling of all pending motions. Government Code section 70616 establishes the fees for complex cases. Pursuant to Government Code section 70616, any non-exempt party who has appeared in this action, but who has not paid the required complex case fee, is ordered to pay the fee to the clerk within ten calendar days of the filing of this order. Failure to pay the required fees shall have the same effect as the failure to pay a filing fee, and shall be subject to the same enforcement and penalties (Gov. Code § 70616(g)).
