bench in September 2009, Judge Richard K. Sueyoshi was a partner at the law firm of Downey Brand
LLP. For cases involving Downey Brand LLP, Judge Sueyoshifindsno grounds for disqualification
for cause under Code of Civil Procedure Section 170.1 based upon that former relationship.
Downey Brand LLP attorneys who were former partners of Judge Sueyoshi may now be members of
other law firms including, but not limited to: Delfino Madden O'Malley Coyle & Koewler LLP,
Reynolds Tilbury Woodward LLP, and Mitchell Chadwick LLP. At no time has Judge Sueyoshi been
affiliated with such other law firms. For cases involving such lawfirms,the Court similarlyfindsno
grounds for disqualification for cause as to those former partners.
