8 A. Yes.
9 Q. I want to show you what's been marked as
Plaintiffs'
10 Exhibit 2 for identification. Is
11 that the subpoena you received?
12 A. Yes, it is.
13 Q. I think there was a notice attached to
14 it. I didn't print that out, but in any
15 event --
16 A. Yup.
17 Q. -- I'm to call your attention to
going

2 A. Since 2011.
3 Q. Now, with respect to this collision that
4 occurred on July 18, 2015, how is it that you
5 learned of this incident?
6 A. We were 24'd to an MVA in Cutchogue.
7 Q. What does that mean?
8 A. That means that Cutchogue asked for
9 assistance from other fire departments, so they
10 requested ambulance, fire trucks; I happened to
11 ride in a fire truck to the scene.
12 Q. Do you know how that request came in;
13 was it telephone call, was it something else?
14 You know, how did it get into your department?
15 A. Well, it came over my pager, so I
16 don't -- yeah. Fire departments call for help,
17 and it comes over your pager requesting
18 assistance.

3 Q. Where was the firehouse located from
4 where you lived at that time?
5 A. The substation on Baywater Avenue in
6 Southold.
7 Q. When you got to the firehouse, what, if
8 anything, did you do?
9 A. We got in the fire truck, and that's how
10 I got to the scene.
11 Q. When you say we, who were the we?
12 A. There were other EMTs and firefighters
13 that rode in the fire truck.
14 Q. Do you recall who they were; do you
15 remember any of them?
16 A. Chris Manfredi, Ed Boyd; I don't
17 remember the other people that were in the fire
18 truck.
19 Q. Is there any record which would list who
20 was on that truck with you and was called to the
21 scene of the collision?
22 A. I -- I'm not a hundred percent sure on
23 that.

2 A. I know in the ambulance, there's a book
3 that gets written down who rode in the ambulance.
4 I'm not so sure if they do that with the fire
5 truck. I don't drive the fire truck, I only ride
6 in it; it's possible there is a book that states
7 who was in the fire truck at that moment, but I'm
8 not a hundred percent sure.
9 Q. But you rode in the fire truck, correct?
10 A. Yes. We are not allowed to drive to
11 scenes that are out of Southold, so that's why if
12 you're going to go, you would get in the fire
13 truck or get in the ambulance. The ambulance had
14 already left, so that's how I wound up riding in
15 the fire truck.
16 Q. There came a time that you arrived at
17 the scene?
18 A. Um-hmm.
19 MR. STEIGERWALD: I'm sorry, John, she
20 said mm-hmm; we have to get a yes or no.
21 A. I'm sorry.
22 Q. Did there come a time when you arrived

2 Q. When you arrived at the scene, can you
3 tell me what, if anything, you observed; what did
4 you see when you got there?
5 A. I saw Steve Romeo running down Route 48,
6 I saw the red pickup truck, black limousine. I
7 got out of the truck, there was people, EMS,
8 firefighters taking care of patients.
9 Q. I'm sorry, you said you saw Steve Romeo.
10 Did you know Steve Romeo before this?
11 A. I know who Steve Romeo is, yes.
12 Q. How did you know him?
13 A. From living in Southold.
14 Q. Did you know --
15 A. I don't know him on a personal level,
16 friendly level, but I know who he is.
17 Q. Again, when you say you know who he is,
18 did you ever have any dealings with Steve Romeo
19 at all?

21 in there years ago. I know -- I know
physically
22 who he is.
23 Q. Please accept my apologies, back in
