Kevin Hardy, being duly sworn, deposes and states as follows:
1. I am a partner in the law firm of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, 1300
I Street NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20005.
2. I submit this Affidavit in support of the application by motion for my admission
to practice pro hac vice in the above-captioned matter.
3. I am a member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar, identification
number 473941; and State of Maryland Bar, which does not have bar numbers.
4. I have never been suspended from practicing law before any court or jurisdiction,
and there are no pending ethical complaints or disciplinary proceedings against me in any State
or Federal court. See the Certificates of Good Standing annexed hereto as Exhibits A & B.
5. I am familiar with and agree to be bound by the rules of practice of the courts of
New York and the New York Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys.
6. I represent Plaintiff Electronics Ltd. in the above-
Samsung Co., ("Samsung")
captioned matter.

7. I have previously been admitted to practice pro hac vice in the Supreme Court of
the State of New York.
8. There is good cause for my admission pro hac vice to represent Samsung. I am
familiar with Samsung's business and the facts underlying this dispute. Samsung requests that I
be involved in the representation of its interests in this matter, and I believe that my admission
pro hac vice will materially assist in the efficient and effective representation of Samsung.
9. As conditions of my admission pro hac vice, I agree to (a) notify this Court
immediately of any matter affecting my good standing as a member of the bars of the District of
Columbia or the State of Maryland, or any other Court to which I am admitted; (b) familiarize
myself with and abide by the applicable Rules of Court, including the standards of professional
conduct imposed upon members of the New York bar; (c) be subject to the jurisdiction of the
courts of the State of New York with respect to any acts occurring during the course of my
participation in this matter; and (d) have all pleadings, briefs and other papers filed with the
Court signed by an attorney of record authorized to practice in New York.
WHEREFORE, I respectfully request that my application for admission pro hac vice be
granted and I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
