Dear Student,
As you are aware, graduate students are permitted a maximum of two semesters of probation during their
graduate career at NYU Tandon SOE. You were placed on second and final academic probation in Fall
2017, and upon review of your performance, we regret to inform you that you have not satisfied the
requirements of your final probation.
Thus this email serves as official notification of your academic disqualification from further studies at
NYU Tandon SOE.
You are permitted to submit an appeal of your disqualification to the Graduate Appeals Committee if you
so choose. Instructions for appealing, as well as the form required, can be found here:

Please note that the instructions inform you to deliver your appeal in person to the Office of Graduate
Academics, but to make the process easier for you, we have created an NYU Classes site,where you
