present evidence with or without the assistance of counsel. A failure to appear at the hearing
is considered an admission of liability for the failure to pay the amount of tolls and charges
owed. With a finding of liability, the Hearing Officer may issue an order assessing the amount
of the tolls, charges, fees, fines, and court costs.
You may avoid attendance at the hearing by tendering full payment in the amount of

If payment is not made by October 25, 2022 you must attend the hearing as scheduled unless

the amount of on or before the 7 day before the scheduled hearing date. The
conditions of bond must be agreed to and complied with in their entirety. The conditions of the
bond are that the you (i) will appear to answer the citation on the scheduled reset date, and (ii)
will pay the amount of any civil fine and costs assessed by the Hearing Officer, and (iii) in the
event of your failure to appear at the reset hearing, you consent to the forfeiture of the bond and
the proceeds of the bond will be applied to the amount due. You may request that the Hearing
Officer issue an order compelling the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents if
you do so in writing on or before the 7 day before your scheduled hearing date.
On your hearing date, the Hearing Officer shall examine the contents of this citation, the records
of the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority and any evidence you may present, and issue a
decision regarding your liability as alleged by the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority. If you
are found liable, the Hearing Officer shall determine and assess a fine of not less than $1.00 or
more than $500.00, over and above all applicable unpaid tolls, charges, fees, and court costs.
The Hearing Officer's decision may be enforced by any or all of the following: (1)
imposition of additional fines; (2) placement of a device that prohibits movement of the
vehicle; and/or (3) vehicle registration refusa
FURTHERMORE, you are hereby given notice that you have a right to have a court reporter
present at this hearing at your own expense. If you request to have a court reporter present at
this hearing, the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority must receive your request in writing at
the offices of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, 512 S. Seventh Street, Richmond, Texas
77469 or 4828 Loop Central Drive Ste 500, Houston, Texas 77081 on or before the 7th day prior
