WHEREAS, this matter began as a “quick-take” eminent domain proceeding pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 117.042, by a Petition for the Condemnation of Certain Lands For Trunk Highway Purposes. WHEREAS, on January 2, 2020, the Court ordered the Jackson County Court Administrator’s Office to accept and deposit in an interest-bearing account payments from Petitioner State of Minnesota, by its Commissioner of Transportation (“MnDOT”) for this proceeding; WHEREAS, on or about January 2, 2020, $500.00 was deposited and invested in an interest bearing account for Parcel 225 as MnDOT’s “quick-take” payment amount for that parcel pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 117.042. WHEREAS, since January 2, 2020, the landowners of parcel 225 provided MnDOT with the necessary documentation for MnDOT to make the payments directly to the landowners. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: That the Jackson Court Administrator shall release $500.00 for Parcel 225, plus any accrued interest, to MnDOT for payment to the landowner.
