(a) Civil bench warrants, writs of restitution, and writs of possession must be accompanied by an order for issuance. (b) A civil bench warrant must contain an expiration date set by the court. (c) When a person is taken into custody on a civil bench warrant, the following rules apply: (1) If the person posts a bond to secure his release, the person must be given a date and time to return to court as part of the release process; and (2) If the person does not post bond to secure his release, the person must be scheduled for a court hearing within 1 judicial day.
