This Tentative Ruling is made by Judge Dennis Hayashi The special motion of Defendants Fox, Shjeflo & Babu LLP, Walt Shjeflo, Sean Riley and Michael Fox ("Defendants") to strike the Complaint of Plaintiffs Pradeep Kantilal Khatri and Kokila Pradeep Khatri ("Plaintiffs"), pursuant to CCP § 425.16(b), is CONTINUED to August 12, 2021, at 2:30 p.m., in Department 518.
The hearing on the motion to strike is continued for several reasons. First, the opposition memorandum of Plaintiffs exceeds the maximum length by 13 pages. See Rule of Court 3.1113(d). Plaintiffs did not obtain leave of court to exceed the maximum page length prior to filing the memorandum. See Rule of Court 3.1113(e). The Court declines to consider Plaintiffs' opposition memorandum because it does not comply with the Rules of Court. See Rules of Court 3.1113(g) and 3.1300(d). Second, although the parties stipulated to having the hearing continued to June 9, 2021 so that the motion could be heard at the same time as the
