This Tentative Ruling is made by Judge Michael M. Markman Defendant John K. Bice Co., Inc.'s ("JKBCI") Motion to Compel Production of Employment Records is DENIED.

MOTION TO COMPEL

JKBCI seeks to compel production of unredacted employment records for Decedent Lawrence J. Magdaleno ("Decedent") while he was working at Kaiser Cement from 1966 to 1991. JKBCI contends that Plaintiffs have redacted financial information relevant to Decedent's income and benefits earned during his employment, and assert that the unredacted documents may contain evidence regarding liability for the alleged asbestos exposure that occurred during Decedent's employment. Specifically, JKBCI speculates that the redacted information may include details regarding Decedent's job duties, work stations and job classifications that differ from Plaintiffs' allegations.
