Background
In this action, Plaintiffs Soungi Kim and Jaedeuk Lee (“Plaintiffs”) are the parents and lawful heirs of Decedent Seunghun Lee (“Decedent”). They allege that Defendant Albert A. Abrahamians (“Defendant”) was involved in a motor vehicle accident with Decedent on January 26, 2015, which caused Decedent’s death. The complaint, filed December 13, 2016, alleges causes of action for: (1) negligence- wrongful death; and (2) negligence – res ipsa loquitur.
Defendant filed the first-amended cross-complaint against Cross-Defendants Nestar Orellana and Javier Duenas (“Cross-Defendants”) on April 18, 2017, alleging causes of action for: (1) comparative indemnity and apportionment of fault; (2) total equitable indemnity; (3) contribution; and (4) declaratory relief.
