I. Background
This is a personal injury action arising from alleged multiple acts of sexual molestation and bullying of Plaintiff M.D. by former classmate I.C., both minors, on the premises of Defendant Wisdom Academy for Young Scientists. Plaintiff alleges that the minors were not properly supervised by school personnel.
On September 21, 2016, Plaintiff filed his operative First Amended Complaint (“FAC”) for damages, alleging negligence and breach of statutory duties.
On December 19, 2016, Wisdom’s former co-Defendant, Los Angeles County Office of Education (“LACOE”), was dismissed from the case.
In discovery, Plaintiff requested from Defendant Wisdom access to the student records of I.C., a minor and the former classmate of Plaintiff at Wisdom. Wisdom, a private school, responded that it could not provide access to I.C.’s reco
