On October 2, 2017 petitioner City of Placerville (City) filed a petition against the alleged owner of the subject real property for appointment of a receiver pursuant to Health and Safety Code, § 17980.7 due to the alleged owner’s alleged failure and refusal to comply with the City’s orders to abate the alleged substandard conditions allegedly existing on the subject real property.
Respondent Rawat filed a request to deny the petition on November 7, 2017. Upon request of the City, the hearing on the petition set for November 16, 2017 was vacated On October 23, 2017 respondent Rawat filed her first motion to disqualify the attorney representing the City in this proceeding. On January 18, 2018 the motion was denied. On July 6, 2018 the court overruled respondent Rawat’s demurrer to the petition.
