Factual Background

This is a FEHA wrongful termination case. The First Amended Complaint (“FAC”) alleges as follows. Plaintiff Lynette Salazar (“Salazar”) was employed by Defendant City of Glendale (the “City”) from April 25, 2005 as a police (patrol) officer. (FAC ¶ 10.) Salazar applied for, and was denied, promotions to Police Sergeant positions in 2011, 2014, and 2016. (FAC ¶ 11.) The City denied promotions to management positions for virtually all females.
