On May 24, 2016, Plaintiff Karla Parra (“Plaintiff”), by and through her Guardian Ad Litem, Silvia Villalta (“Villalta”), filed this action against Defendant Los Angeles Unified School District (“Defendant”) for negligence.
On June 21, 2017, Defendant was informed that Plaintiff and Villalta intended to move to the east coast in mid-July 2017. Defendant then noticed Plaintiff’s and Villalta’s depositions for July 11, 2017 and July 13, 2017 in an attempt to depose them before they left California.
