TENTATIVE RULING:

On August 14, 2014 the jury returned a verdict in favor of Plaintiff R&T Investments, Inc. and against Defendant Richard Perrin in the amount of $45,000. The jury found no liability on the part of Defendant Kawasaki Motors. Judgment was entered on October 14, 2014. R&T Investments and Kawasaki Motors have both filed cost memorandums, each claiming to be the prevailing party under Code of Civil Procedure establishes that a prevailing party includes "the party with a net monetary recovery," and "a defendant as against those plaintiffs who do not recover any relief against that defendant."
