TENTATIVE RULING:
On June 3, 2013, following a trial to the Court, a judgment for declaratory relief was entered in favor of Plaintiff (Judgment, ROA #1077). On August 13, 2013, the Court ruled that Plaintiffs are the prevailing parties and awarded attorney's fees in the total amount of $642,285.00 (Ruling on Motion for Determination of Prevailing Party and for Attorneys' Fees and Costs, ROA #1149). On October 9, 2018, this department awarded an additional $11,444.50 in attorney fees, representing 48.7 hours of work performed between April 1, 2017 and July 2, 2018. In the same ruling, adjudication of post-judgment interest was abated pending the appeal, "given the subject matter of the appeal and the uncertainty of satisfaction and credits" (ROA #1497).
Following the initial award of attorneys' fees, Defendant Sharon Scofield filed a number of appeals and motions that are thoroughly documented in Judge Blizzard's May 28, 2019 Amended Ruling on Submitted Matter (Turnover) (ROA #1584).
