On its own motion, the Court CONTINUES the hearing on the Demurrer by Cross-Defendants Chanelle Haywood, Terry Haywood, Louise Haywood and Estate of Kasean Herrera to the Cross Complaint by Jeremy Greenwood to 11/13/2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Department C24, remote appearances only, until further notice, so that it may be heard in conjunction with the pending Motion for Determination of Good Faith Settlement.
Code Civ. Proc., § 877.6 (c) provides that “A determination by the court that the settlement was made in good faith shall bar any other joint tortfeasor or co-obligor from any further claims against the settling tortfeasor or co-obligor for equitable comparative contribution, or partial or comparative indemnity, based on comparative negligence or comparative fault.” The ruling on the Motion for Determination of Good Faith Settlement may affect the ruling on the Demurrer.
