On July 27, 2023, the Court issued a minute order after reviewing the Expedited Petition for Approval of Minors Compromise filed by Petitioner on June 22, 2023.
The Court declined to approve the petition and elected to schedule a hearing date for August 11, 2023 to permit counsel to correct the following issues:
(1)
Item 17d of the petition incorrectly lists costs as $9,941.03, instead of $4,913.95.
(2)
Item 17e, which asks for the total fees and expenses to be paid from proceeds of the settlement has been left blank. It should state $9,941.03.
(3)
The retainer agreement is not attached.
Petitioner addressed the issues in an amended expedited petition filed on August 1, 2023.
However, Petitioner did not file an amended proposed order granting the petition, and, as such, the Court cannot approve the petition.
