AMENDED EXPEDITED PETITIONS TO APPROVE COMPROMISES OF PENDING ACTION ON BEHALF OF MINORS

TENTATIVE RULING:

The Amended Expedited Petitions are GRANTED. Given that they are expedited petitions, Petitioner and Claimants do not need to appear at the hearing. The Orders to approve the Amended Expedited Petitions and the Orders to deposit Money into Blocked Accountr will be signed by the Court.

DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS:

In December 2017 and January 2018, the Court appointed Petitioner as Claimants’ guardian ad litem. On September 21, 2018, Petitioner Mayra Orta (“Petitioner”) filed three expedited petitions to approve compromises of pending action (collectively, the “expedited petitions”) on behalf of minor Claimants David Orta (“David”), Manuel Orta, Jr. (“Manuel”), and Vania Orta (“Vania”) (collectively, “Claimants”). On October 3, 2018, the Court ruled that the three expedited petitions were incomplete and declined to grant them. As a result, the Court ordered Petitioner to file suppl
