Brothers, Aquilla, Dan, Erich, and Malcolm Chase (“Plaintiffs”), initiated this litigation against Martha, Barca, Hester, Katherine, Rowan, and Tubuloq Chase (“Defendants”) on September 26, 2017. Plaintiffs and all defendants, except Rowan, are Martha’s children.1 Rowan is Martha’s stepson.
The dispute concerns two pieces of real property in San Luis Obispo County. The first on Kiler Canyon Road in Paso Robles and the second on Vine Street in Paso Robles (collectively, the “California Properties”). According to the FAC, Plaintiffs, who began working as minors, would deposit their wages into a family account which was used to make the payments on the Kiler Canyon property (which had been purchased in 1976). Plaintiffs allege that none of the defendants, other than Martha, contributed monetarily to the joint account or the purchase of the Kiler Canyon property.
