The first cause of action requests an order enjoining all defendants from using the name “Fresno Watchdogs for Ethical Bidding” to refer to the now-dissolved corporation. The second cause of action seeks an order enjoining defendant Brooke Ashjian, in his capacity as a public official, from ordering the group’s spokesperson (i.e., Kenneth Mackie) not to use that name. However, both sides have acknowledged that the defendant corporation is now dissolved, and also that defendant Ashjian no longer serves on the Board of Education of the Fresno Unified School District (“Board”) in any capacity. This raises the obvious question of whether these events have rendered both the first and second causes of action moot.
