Petitioner’s application for a stay of the decision of respondent suspending petitioner’s teaching credentials for 150 days is denied. (Decision dated 8/10/18 was allegedly stayed by respondent until 9/9/18. Stay was then extended by stipulation until September 21, 2018.)
The original petition filed in this lawsuit on November 6, 2017, challenged respondent’s decision to revoke petitioner’s teaching credentials and sought an administrative hearing. The writ resulted in an administrative hearing. A decision was made by the hearing officer that petitioner’s teaching credentials be suspended for 150 days (presumably this decision would supersede the order that petitioner’s teaching credentials be revoked).
At the last hearing on September 21, 2018,the court denied without prejudice petitioner’s ex parte request for a stay of the 150 day suspension. The court held that it would not issue a stay of any order or decision of respondent unless and until a petition for writ of administrative ma
