The Petitioner’s Expedited Petition to Approve Compromise of Pending Action on Behalf of a Person with a Disability is GRANTED.

On September 27, 2016, Plaintiff Maria F. Castro (“Plaintiff”) filed this action against Defendant Altamed Health Services Corporation. On June 26, 2017, the Court appointed Angelica Castro as guardian ad litem of Plaintiff. On November 30, 2017, Petitioner Angelica Castro (“Petitioner”) filed an Expedited Petitioner to Approve Compromise of Pending Action on Behalf of a Person with Disability (“Expedited Petition”) on behalf of Claimant Maria F. Castro (“Claimant”).

Court approval is required for all settlements of a minor’s claim. (Prob. Code §§ 3500, 3600, et seq.; CCP § 372.) A petition for court approval of a compromise of a minor must be fully completed. (See CRC 7.950.)

The Court finds that the settlement to be fair and reasonable and that petitioner has completed, filed and served all pleadings required by the code. The Court signs and files the Pro
