Nature of Proceedings: Motion: Compel Deposition/Sanctions

TENTATIVE RULING: Plaintiff�s motion to compel the
deposition of Ford�s person most qualified is granted. Ford is ordered to produce its PMQ witness to
testify regarding the matters set forth in the deposition notice and to produce
the requested documents. The PMQ deposition
shall take place no later than May 2, 2014. Plaintiff is awarded monetary sanctions in the
amount of $2,550.00.

BACKGROUND:

This is a lemon law case.
On November 18, 2008, plaintiff Terry Keller purchased a new Ford F-350
pickup truck. Defendant Ford Motor
Company warranted the vehicle to be free of any defects. However, plaintiff alleges that the vehicle
was equipped with a defective 6.4 liter Navistar diesel engine, as well as
other defects, including a defective exhaust system, cooling system, and
transmission. Plaintiff alleges that the
defects manifested themselves within the applicable express and implied warranty
periods, but Ford has failed and
