Background
On 6/24/11 the Court entered a Judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $10,445.00; the defendant’s cross-complaint was dismissed; on 8/22/11 costs were added in the amount of $1,751.50 to the judgment for a total judgment of $12,196.50.
Shortly thereafter Mr. Dorton filed a CCP § 170.1 and 170.3 challenge to this bench officer; the Court filed a response to Mr. Dorton’s challenge; counsel for plaintiff, Mr. Young, filed a declaration on the issue; the matter was assigned to a Judge in Ventura County by the Chief Justice.
