The Hon. Vicki L. Ashworth is a judge for the Superior Court of El Dorado County in California. She was elected to the bench on June 3, 2014.
Ashworth earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Hayward. She then completed a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1996.
She began her legal career as a deputy district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Amador County in 1997. Two years later, she transferred to the Office of the District Attorney of El Dorado County, where she prosecuted criminal cases ranging from sexual assault to special-circumstance homicides until 2014.
Ashworth has volunteered with Green Valley School as well as the Girl Scouts of America. She has also been a member of the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Placerville Chapter of Kiwanis International.
When not presiding over cases, she enjoys spending her free time hiking, fishing, and traveling. Her husband has served as a captain with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.
